Desk Report:
The woman, accused of murdering her husband and in-laws, was found alive two years later!
The mysterious disappearance of a young woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district and a dowry murder case that has been going on for two years have taken a sensational turn. The woman, who was booked for murder and disappearance against her husband and six in-laws, has been found alive after two years.
According to police sources, the woman is now 20. She went missing from her in-laws’ house in 2023, a year and a half after her marriage. On October 23, 2023, her family filed a missing person’s diary with the police station. After a long search, no trace was found, so the family alleged that she was killed for dowry. Later, on the orders of the court, a case was filed against her husband and six other in-laws under Section 304B (dowry-related death) of the Indian Penal Code.
Today, Thursday (October 2), NDTV reported that the case had been going on for the last two years. Meanwhile, the Special Operations Group and the surveillance team of the Uttar Pradesh Police were conducting a search and finally found her in Madhya Pradesh.
Auraiya Circle Officer Ashok Kumar Singh told reporters, “The girl went missing after one and a half years of marriage. The family filed a missing complaint. Later, on the orders of the court, a case was filed against her husband and some in-laws. During the investigation, we were able to identify her in Madhya Pradesh. She was brought back to Auraiya on Wednesday, and the investigation is ongoing.”
Authorities said they are investigating how the girl was in Madhya Pradesh for so long and why she had not contacted her family. An official said this will definitely affect the court case.
