‘National Youth Power’ has emerged as a new associate organization of the National Citizens Party (NCP). Convener Advocate Md. Tariqul Islam, Member Secretary Dr. Jahedul Islam and Chief Organizer Engineer Farhad Sohel have been elected.
The program began at Shaheed Abrar Fahad Avenue (formerly Bangabandhu Avenue) today, Friday (May 16) at around 3 pm and ended at 7 pm. At around 5:30 pm, the Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Party, Nasiruddin Patwary, announced the committee.
Nasiruddin Patwari said, “The National Citizen Party was formed by those who were involved in the anti-fascist struggle in the July Movement. Yuba Shakti has emerged as an associate organization of that NCP. This national youth force will work as an anti-fascist force for the development of the country outside of traditional politics.”
A total of 131 members of the National Youth Power Committee have been formed. The leaders of the National Citizen Party announced the names of 29 of them.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Senior Joint Chief Coordinator of the National Citizen Party, Abdul Hannan Masud, Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, Youth Power’s Nahida Bushra, Rajib bin Jamal Tuhin, and others.
