Sevilla scores 4 goals against Barca
Barcelona could not last a week at the top of La Liga. The loss to PSG is more painful than today’s loss to Sevilla. Hansi Flick’s team played the worst match of the season. They have to return from Sevilla’s field with a 4-1 loss.
Alexis Sanchez gave Sevilla the lead in the 13th minute at the Ramon Sanchez Stadium. The former Barcelona forward made no mistake from the spot kick. The gap could have easily been 4-0 in the first half. But Sevilla went into the break with a 2-1 lead. Isaac Romero had doubled the gap earlier. Marcus Rashford reduced the gap for Barcelona.
Barcelona tried to show dominance at the break, but could not open the scoring. Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty. Sevilla scored two more goals in the last minute. Jose Angel Carmona in the 90th minute and Akor Adams in the sixth minute of added time put the final nail in Barca’s coffin.
Before this match, they had only won once at home this year. And Barca had not lost at home in the last 10 years. But today we have to see. They are second in the table with 19 points from 8 matches. Real are two points ahead at the top.
