NCP leaders exchange views with Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan

A delegation of the National Citizens Party (NCP) visiting Japan held a meeting with the Bangladesh Ambassador to Tokyo. The meeting was held at the Bangladesh Embassy at around 10:30 am local time on Tuesday (September 16).

A delegation including NCP Chief Organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, Joint Chief Coordinator Mahabub Alam and NCP Asia Representative Zubair Sardar participated in the meeting.

Various problems and concerns of expatriate Bangladeshis living in Japan were highlighted in the meeting. In particular, the need to launch a direct flight from Bangladesh Biman to ‘Japan-to-Bangladesh’ was discussed in detail. At this time, NCP leaders said that if the direct flight is launched, trade, communication and facilities between the two countries will increase manifold.

In addition, they demanded that effective initiatives be taken to send the bodies of expatriates who died in Japan to their home country quickly and easily. The ambassador said that this process has already started and efforts are ongoing to facilitate it.

In the context of students and employment, the discussion raised the possibilities and issues to be addressed on how to bring more students and skilled manpower from Bangladesh to Japan. At the same time, ways to increase foreign investment in Bangladesh and facilitating business activities of Bangladeshis in Japan were also discussed in detail.

After the discussion, the delegation toured various activities of the Bangladesh Embassy.
