Eminent banker Kaiser A. Chowdhury has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AB Bank at its 813th Board Meeting. A. Chowdhury has extensive experience as a CEO and member of the Board of Directors of various banks and financial institutions.
He started his career in ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1975. He held various important positions in the bank for 24 years. Later, he served as CEO of One Bank from 1999 to 2004 and AB Bank from 2005 to 2012. He also served as CEO of Meghna Bank.
He also held various important positions in GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh Limited) and Bangladesh International Arbitration Center (BIAC).
A. Chowdhury is an independent director of Premier Bank PLC and a director of AB Bank PLC.
As a lover of children’s literature, he has 50 publications in this field of literature. In 2013, he received the Bangla Academy Literary Award in recognition of his special contribution to children’s literature.
Kaiser A. Chowdhury, a master’s degree holder in economics from Dhaka University, is an experienced banker. His strong leadership is expected to further enrich the progress of AB Bank.
