The IPL was postponed for a week amid the India-Pakistan conflict. Then the remaining matches of the league stage started with the new venue and schedule. However, although there were indications that the venue for the play-offs and the final would change, it was not decided at that time. Finally, the venue and schedule for the play-offs and the final were announced today by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to the new schedule, the first qualifier will be held on May 29 at the New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur. The eliminator match will be held at the same ground the next day. The second qualifier will be held on June 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final of the competition will be held at this ground in Ahmedabad on June 3.
The play-off matches were earlier scheduled to be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata. The final was scheduled to be held at Eden Gardens on May 25. The plan changed after the clash with Pakistan. The venue of the last match of the league phase has also changed. Royal Challengers Bangalore was scheduled to face Lucknow Super Giants at home in Bengaluru on May 27. The match will now be held in Lucknow on the same day.
