If the youth are active, no problem in the country will remain unresolved: Chief Advisor

Desk Report:

The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, said that the talent, energy and creativity of the youth should be utilized to play a role in the development of the country. He believes that if the youth are active, no problem of the country can remain unresolved.

The Chief Advisor said these things at the ‘Youth Volunteer Award-2025’ ceremony organized at the Chief Advisor’s office on Monday. He said, ‘We are celebrating the power of youth. This is the driving force of our nation. I firmly believe that when the youth of a country are strong with active, energetic and innovative power, then no obstacle can stop their progress.’

Dr. Yunus said that the innovative power of the youth is now not limited to the field of education, they are also playing a leading role in healthcare, environmental protection, poverty alleviation and establishing social justice. He reminded that these young people led the mass uprising of 24 and have written the history of the country over the ages.

Addressing the youth, he said, “New challenges will constantly come our way, sometimes it is a public health crisis, sometimes inadequate educational opportunities, and sometimes environmental disasters. But instead of getting discouraged by these challenges, we must face them unitedly with our own strength. I hope our youth will lead in this work too.”

Referring to volunteerism as an ideal medium for self-development and developing leadership qualities, the Chief Advisor said that the youth will not stop at just being volunteers, but will present themselves as policy makers, innovators, and architects of change in society.

At the event, the Chief Advisor presented awards to 12 people in recognition of the contribution that the youth have made in various fields of society. He said, “Today’s award is not just a recognition, it is a call to you to be braver, lead more, and work with new ideas and innovations for the welfare of society.”

He expressed hope that every small effort of the youth will pave the way for great achievements for the country.
