The 7-day-long ‘Operation Pacific Angel 25-3’ joint exercise is underway with the participation of the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Force. This joint exercise is being held at the Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque in Chittagong.
As part of this, various types of exercises to deal with air, land and wartime situations were conducted today, Wednesday. The exercise practiced transporting seriously injured patients and transferring patients from one aircraft to another.
According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), such exercises will be able to provide emergency medical assistance, maintain in-flight coordination and develop the ability to make quick decisions.
In addition, search and rescue activities are also being conducted in this exercise, through which the ability to provide coordinated cooperation and quick response in the rescue process of injured people in accidents, adverse weather conditions or on the battlefield is being acquired.
On the other hand, combat tracking and survival exercises have been included for wartime preparation on the ground. Combat tracking exercises are being conducted to practice the skills of identifying enemy movements, following covert movements, and formulating strategic plans.
Survival exercises are being conducted to gain practical experience in survival techniques, food and drink collection, hiding, and safe escape from enemy encirclement using limited resources in hostile and extremely hostile environments.
Participation in this exercise will greatly enhance the ability of the forces to work together in emergency situations and wartime operations. As a result, this exercise will be considered an important milestone in conducting future joint operations, the release stated.
