At the age of just 22, Aneet Padda is getting the kind of stardom that is usually reserved for big stars in Bollywood. The movie ‘Sayyaraa’ changed her fate. She got widespread recognition overnight. This praise and recognition has also given Aneet confidence back. The actress said that she used to suffer from anxiety and depression all the time during her initial days in the industry.
Aneet had been looking for an opportunity to start working in showbiz for about five years. She used to do modeling. In 2022, she got her first acting opportunity in ‘Salaam Venky’. After that, she also appeared in two serials named ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Yuva Swapna Ka Safar’. However, she was not getting the kind of work she wanted.
At that time, Aneet had to go to Delhi to study. After going there, she sank into even more despair. She kept thinking that she would never be able to make a place in the industry. In an interview given to Hollywood Reporter India, Aneet Padda said, ‘I always wanted to act. At the age of 17, I started researching how to get a chance in Bollywood! I knew I would have to do it all on my own, because my parents didn’t have the financial capacity to take me to Mumbai for auditions. I prepared in various ways for two-three years, on my own.’
Aneet Padda said that she contacted many acting agencies by searching Google. Later, she realized that they were all fake. The actress said, ‘Then Covid came, everyone was confined to their homes. At that time, there was no other option but to record auditions from home. I contacted about 75 agencies.’ At one stage, Aneet felt confident after being finalized in Yash Raj Films’ movie ‘Sayaraa’. All the disappointments went away.
After ruling the theaters, Saayaraa was recently released on Netflix. The movie has reached more and more audiences around the world. Aneet is getting more and more responses. However, she is not getting swept away by this tide of praise. He has decided to work more honestly from now on. Anit Padda wants to not only act, but also direct music for films in the future.
