The suspicions have finally come true. Bangladesh will not get Hamza Chowdhury in the two friendly matches against Nepal. The BFF confirmed the matter today.
National team manager Amer Khan said at the BFF building today, ‘The federation tried to get him (Hamza). We informed his agent. He informed Hamza’s club Leicester City. But since Hamza got injured in the last match, Leicester City will not release him for these two matches for now.’
Leicester City will play against Oxford United in the Championship League on September 13. This is one of the reasons for not getting Hamza. Amer Khan said, ‘His agent has informed us that Hamza will not play in Nepal in the September window considering the club’s schedule and fitness.’
Faisal Ahmed Fahim got injured during training. Although there is uncertainty about the game, this forward will go to Nepal, ‘There are concerns about Faisal Ahmed Fahim’s injury, he is under observation. However, he will go to Nepal with the team. If he is fit, he will play in the Nepal match.’
The Bangladesh team will leave for Nepal tomorrow. Two friendly matches will be held at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on September 6 and 9.
