3 people die of dengue, 735 hospitalized

Three people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 735 people have been admitted to hospitals.

This information was given in a notification sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday (September 29). In the notification, the Directorate General of Health Services gave information for the 24 hours from 8 am yesterday, Sunday to 8 am today.

The Directorate General of Health Services said that 735 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country including Dhaka due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Of these, 116 people were admitted in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 98 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 156 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 121 in Dhaka North City, 95 in Dhaka South City, 39 in Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), 35 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 57 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), 14 in Rangpur division (outside the City Corporation) and four in Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation).

Meanwhile, 555 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the past day. With this, 44,184 people have been discharged this year.

All three of those who died in the past 24 hours were men. Of them, two were in Dhaka and one was under treatment in Barisal division.

The Department of Health said that a total of 46,786 patients have been admitted to hospitals since January this year. As of September 29 this year, 195 people have died from dengue.
