An Islamic party has lost its balance in order to come to power: Rizvi

Desk Report:

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has commented that an Islamic party has lost its balance in order to come to power.

He said this after visiting the Durga Puja at the Ramna Kali Mandir in the capital on Sunday (September 28).

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, ‘An Islamic party has lost its balance in order to come to power. Jamaat-e-Islami is not an independent political party. They work as a branch of a party in another country. BNP does not have to change anything. BNP’s identity is the people of this country.’

Rizvi said, ‘BNP’s Sharid greetings to the followers of traditional religions. When a community lives with other communities, the big festival of that community becomes a festival for everyone. Festivals never divide. Festivals send a message of harmony between people. We greet each other on these festival days.’

The BNP leader said, ‘Although religions are different, our ethnicity is one. Rabindranath, Nazrul, Lalon are all ours. There is no religious wall there. Sheikh Hasina created divisions for power. But there is no division among us. This is the beauty of Bangladesh. All conspiracies are being foiled because people of all religions are working together.’

Rizvi said, ‘Various conspiracies are still going on. Attempts are being made to create an unstable situation in remote areas. They are busy exploiting this time of worship. These are not isolated incidents. A party has been providing this support for a long time. If anyone casts an evil eye on an inch of land in the country, his eyes will be gouged out.’
