Joint forces raid Haji Selim’s Azimpur house, recover 6 luxury cars
The joint forces have surrounded a house of former MP Haji Mohammad Selim in the capital’s Azimpur Dayara Sharif area. They will inform the media about the details after the operation. The house was seen being surrounded around 12 noon today, Sunday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalbagh Police Station Md. Mustafa Kamal Khan confirmed the matter to Fast Bangla.
The OC said, “The joint forces have been conducting a raid on the house of former MP Haji Selim since noon. They informed us about the matter. However, we do not have any police members. The joint forces are conducting the raid in the presence of a magistrate.”
According to local sources, six luxury cars have been recovered from the underground parking of the house named Gulshanara Masuda Tower. It is known that one of the recovered cars also has the logo of the MP.
The joint forces have detained the caretaker (manager) of the house from the scene. He could not give any good answer about the ownership and legality of the cars.
Meanwhile, there is curiosity in the area surrounding the presence of the joint forces. However, the joint forces did not immediately comment on this matter. No one has made an official statement on their behalf. It is believed that an investigation is underway into the matter.
