Earthquake hits country for third time in September
An earthquake has occurred in Monirampur, Jessore. It has been identified as a mild earthquake on the Richter scale. It was detected at 2:27 pm today, Saturday. Its magnitude was 3.5 on the Richter scale.
Meteorologist of the Meteorological Department in Dhaka Dr. Abul Kalam Mallick told Ajker Patrika, ‘An earthquake occurred in Monirampur, Jessore at 2:27:29 am. It was 157 km southwest of the Meteorological Department in Agargaon, Dhaka. Its magnitude was 3.5 on the Richter scale. It was a very low-energy earthquake.’

According to the Jessore Air Force-controlled Meteorological Office, the magnitude of the earthquake was not very high. However, this is the third earthquake felt in the country this September.
