Marka Shaplai must be elected, otherwise we will see how the election goes: Sarjis Alam
Sarjis Alam, the party’s chief organizer for the northern region, has warned that the Election Commission will look into how the elections are conducted if it does not give the National Citizen Party (NCP) the Shapla symbol. He made this warning in a post on social media Facebook on Tuesday (September 23) afternoon.
Sarjis Alam wrote, ‘The Election Commission Secretary said that Shapla is not in the list of markers, so NCP is not getting the Shapla symbol. That means, there is no legal obstacle, but rather they are unable to give the Shapla symbol to NCP because it is not in the list. The day NCP first applied for registration, it had clearly stated that NCP wanted the Shapla symbol. So whose job was it to add the Shapla symbol to that list? Have they been sitting in the Election Commission and watching the drama for so long? Or have they been sitting in an independent institution and following the orders of some other institution, party or agency?’
Sarjis also wrote, ‘All kinds of hypocrisy will be dealt with politically. Since there is no legal obstacle, the NCP’s brand has to be Shaplai. There is no other option.’
Sarjis wrote, ‘Otherwise, we will also see how any election is held and who dreams of coming to power and eating honey.’
