Two people have died of dengue, a disease spread by Aedes mosquitoes, in the country in the last 24 hours (from 8 am on Tuesday to 8 am on Wednesday). With this, the total number of deaths this year has reached 200. At the same time, 490 people have been admitted to hospitals. With this, the number of admitted patients has reached 47,832.
This information was revealed from a notification sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that two people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours in Dhaka South City Corporation. During this period, the highest number of dengue patients (138) have been admitted to hospitals in Barisal division. Apart from this, 100 people have been admitted to hospitals in Dhaka division, 78 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 64 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 60 in Chittagong division, 28 in Mymensingh division and 22 in Rangpur division with dengue.
According to the report of the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 200 people have died of dengue from January 1 to Wednesday this year. The highest number of deaths (95) occurred in Dhaka South City Corporation. During this period, apart from 32 in Barisal division, 26 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 23 in Chittagong division, 10 in Rajshahi division, 6 in Mymensingh division, 5 in Khulna division and 3 in Dhaka division have died of dengue.
